Savannah, GA Trip - Chattanooga Portrait Photographer
Filed Under: Personal

My husband & I have been to Savannah, GA a few times & love it!  We love Tibey Island, GA too, which is right around the corner from Savannah, GA.  Here’s some pics I snapped while we were visiting both places:

I love wrought iron & there’s plenty of it there:

This was one home many years ago; now divided up into condos.  I like the way the different units each had different colored shutters:

I never saw an ashtray like this before!!! (This was on the Pier at Tibey Island, GA):

Along the streets in front of some of the restaurants, when you looked down, you saw doors that were underneath the streets.  Since this is something rarely seen, I had to snap a picture of it!!!:

This was a sign inside the Pirate’s Tavern, one of the oldest buildings in Savannah, which is now a restaurant.  From this spot they had tunnels to the waterfront & rumor has it, they used those to shang-hai people!!!  I wanted to go in the tunnels, but they were closed.  Like my husband said, can you imagine being in this spot & the next thing you know, you’re on a ship out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean!!!:

While editing this picture below, I decided to make it black and white to make it more “scary,” since we are talking about the Pirate’s Tavern!!!:

At Savannah, GA’s Port; I thought the bricks showing through this building was interesting:

The Cotton Exchange Building:

I liked all the swirls and details of this sculpture:

More interesting colored homes:

Finding Art in Life; At the beach!

This past Thanksgiving, my Sister & I headed to the beach & ate LOBSTER (My mouth’s kind of watering thinking about it!!!) on Thanksgiving day!  That was the first time (And hopefully not the last!!!) I’ve done that.  I didn’t have one bite of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, or any other Thanksgiving food! I kind of thought I’d give in, but once I had the lobster in front of me, that was all I needed!!!  :O)

So after we ate, we headed down to the beach.  Now I gotta tell you, it was NOT warm on the beach that day!  But there were TONS of people there; surfing, walking, children and pets also enjoying their time there.  I had my scarf wrapped around my face so I could survive the wind and cold temp (!), my gloves on & snapped a few pics.

The sky did not look like this on the beach that day.  But after a little editing, I was able to bring out the sun highlighting the clouds:

This statue was on the grass next to the beach parking lot & I liked it, so I ran over to it (I run a lot when I’m going to the car, in a store, etc. when it’s cold; my theory; warms you up & gets you there faster!!!) & snapped of picture of it, too:

I saw this wrought iron bannister and I love wrought iron, so while the light was red, I rolled down the window & snapped this picture.  After a little editing, here’s the results.  The shadow of the light is in the top left hand corner.  Or as Moriah said (Moriah, from Senior Sessions pictures on here) “It looks like a giant gummy bear!!!” :

This Indian carving was at the light where we turned onto our street for the Bed & Breakfast we stayed at.  So we decided we didn’t need to know the street name, “Just turn at the Indian!”  I thought the Artist who carved this did a FANTASTIC job; it’s beautiful!:

And I returned home to the TP Monster!!!  You DIDN’T KNOW there was a TP Monster??!!  Well, now you do!  It’s THRILLING to attack it & give the, “Look Lady, it was NOT me” face when caught red handed!!!  :O)

Not only does the TP Monster attack it, he leaves COMPLIMENTARY TEETH MARKS!!!!  :O)  I love my Pug!!!
